Racing number 9 in the 1921 Brooklands JCC was J Cocker-Crough's Coventry-Simplex 1368 cc side valve 4 who did not qualify.Several special Coventry Simplexes were entered by the engine manufacturer .They were powered by the 1368 cc side valve four competing in the 1500 class.Coventry-Simplex was later to become Coventry-Climax. |
