JWS 37x plate was Edinburgh mid-1952 - other possible JxS combinations (JRS, JMS, JNS) are either 1956+ or not used. Seems UK name was 760 (1947 to Oct 1950) then 750 - similar to Australian naming. UK assembly from November 1949. Any 4CV-ists able to add info?? |

The one in which I had part ownership (537 NVW, Essex 1959) was used for grass hill climbs until the crankshaft broke, due to the limitations of the gearbox causing over revving. While we were using it I got quite quick at replacing big end bearings. -- Last edit: 2016-06-30 20:53:17 |
