Part of the 1941-47 'Art Deco' truck line. With the heavy-duty wheel rims, so if really a 1941 model, then a 1½-ton Heavy-Duty. But it has the 1946-47 heavy-duty front bumper, which makes it more likely a medium-duty (1) 1½-ton (4103 model code, as it has the short wheelbase) or a heavy-duty 1½-ton Special (6103S code) / 2-ton (6103 code). No external detail can help to tell one model over the others... I never saw for now any document with a generic name for the 1946-47 medium-/heavy-duty models. Should we reuse the 1941-42 Heavy-Duty name, pending better information? _____ 1: The 1½-ton trucks were downgraded to the medium-duty range in 1946 and 1947, the latter involving the "1947½" Advance-Design trucks too. They regained the heavy-duty status in 1948. |
