Is "200-Series" correct, or one of those DVLA dustbin entries when they can't be arsed to check what it actually is?? |

Would be hard to spot. As I already told, at our Hebrides- and Highlands-trips last November, I couldn't spot any of those. During three weeks in SCO (o.k., the traffic situation on the Outer Hebrides is not directly comparable with Greater London) I've seen not even a dozen of origin UK-trucks. Some Dennis garbage-trucks and two or three Foden-tippers and one Foden trailor-truck, that was all. At our several previous vacations in the last years, there were always a handful ERF and Seddon Atkinson, even two, three Scammell, but in 2015 nothing at all. -- Last edit: 2016-01-18 19:46:09 |

This is Les Baston's 400 Series, still in daily service in September 2017. He bought it to replace a Borderer in, I think, the mid-80s, and still runs it now. It was uprated to 38 tonnes with a tag axle, many years ago. He regularly posts photos of it at work on facebook |
