According to my Volvo trucks official history book from the late 1980s, this truck was launched by the new Volvo White company for the 1988 model year under the name "WhiteGMC Autocar". But the book doesn't say if that's the full brand, with an unmentioned model name, or if Autocar is the model name itself.
