No chrome strip at waist and no chromed wheel arches elliminate the 300 model. Radiator grille that looks almost grey suggest a model not later than 250 SE, while chromed (inside) rear view mirror and swan neck door mirror suggest an even earlier model. I believe one should ignore the 1968+ hubcaps and side lamps and think they are later additions. Until proven otherwise I believe this is a 1962-65 Mercedes-Benz 220 SE Cabriolet [W 111.023] http://wiki.mercedes-benz-classic.com/index.php/Kategorie:W110/W111/W112 . |
