@ ingo: Should we use the Kombi name as default one, here? |

Seems to be evidence of vent windows, so rather a Siebensitzer, Achtsitzer or Neunsitzer Personen-Transporter. Probably without L, no chrome along waist line. Or, use the more common name, Bus? |

As the van was apparently vandalized and/or burnt, we should certainly be a bit cautious about what was present when it was at its best ![]() Isn't that rather an English name? And what about the Clipper L? _____ Edit: The 7-/8-/9-sitzer vans were apparently all gathered and promoted as Transporter, in Germany. Maybe we should use that name? -- Last edit: 2015-10-26 14:10:07 |

The Clipper L was a luxoury version of the Bus. The ranges of the T2 and T3 and the possibility of extra option-combinations were that widespread, that a clear identification is often impossible. At VW it was also possible to choose a basic version and pick single extras of the high-spec model, but not the whole "L-Paket" for example. |

As for the missing or burned chrome, 'probably' already means I'm sceptic. So, can we somehow agree anyway? |
