Austin A55/A60 ½-Ton Van?

Must be A60 at that age as A55 had gone, but may also be Morris badge iirc.

Looks like chrome trim down the side so the later A60.

Morris badged examples were far rarer I thought.
Although that could be down to the later introduction and the fact it was commonly thought to be an Austin without looking hard for the badge or winged 'A'.

The chrome trim is the same on the Morris in the link, I think.

The "Morris-shaped" half ton van was discontinued in 1962, and the Morris dealers had to have something to sell......

Yes, the chrome trim was the same Austin or Morris.

The Morris was the same van with different badges.

Without seeing the front I would say, on balance of probabilities, its Likely to be an Austin.

I wouldn't argue.

 In what way do you not agree?

1. The chrome trim was the same Austin or Morris.
2. The Morris was the same van with different badges (OK wavy/straight grilles as well).
3. Austin more likely than Morris (for which I only have a gut feeling).

Austin and Morris versions.

I already wear glasses.

Anyway, I'm off to the pub for a spot of Titanic Brewery's real ale - travelling by bus before anyone asks!

Hrrmmphh, your comment made be sad and angry :/ I really wanted to visit http://bochum.finest-spirits.com/ the second last weekend - but I was not allowed  Participating my wife's aunt's birthday had to be much more important...

And you provoked a little shock either. I got the idea "Hmm, are there microbrewery-experiences possible at our imminent vacations?" and seached for more. I found http://www.williamsbrosbrew.com/brotherhood/general/visit-scotland-competition - :wow: ...but my thought "Hey, that's our holiday-cottage!!" is wrong. We will stay at http://www.beachbaycottage.co.uk/come-inside/the-cottage.html and afterwards at http://www.borvelodge.com/room/the-broch/

Well, yes, but the bus didn't turn up so I'm back at the keyboard. Rats!!

Arriva, the world's crappiest bus company, has changed all the routes round here to save money, and the drivers don't know where to go. The driver of the bus going in the opposite direction told my friend who gets on a couple of stops before me, that he had seen our bus on the wrong route, so it would not be taking us into town, so that's it. They only do an hourly service so there's no point in waiting for the next one.

Your cottage looks wonderful, have a good time.

Hey, come on - this isn't a real serious reason to miss important things like that [:heink] There are more possibilities, for example a loving wife, who would stay awake until the husband's call "Darling, we are ready now, you can pick us up"

What do you expect with a rat-shop, ruled by dumb blokes as owner? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arriva
