Weasel, You've pointed some thing interesting, indeed...the difference is about the number of seats. All the "Confort" were SC10U modified with more confortable seats ,fitting out, and new inside coulor scheme (seats orange instead of burgundy)..these modification bread less seats (68 only versus 70 on the former SC10). That lower capacity was inconvenient, and in 1976, RATP asked for a 72 seater , with that new paint scheme (white roof) According to the site of " Musée des transports" http://www.amtuir.org/06_htu_bus_sc10/06_htu_bus_sc10.htm#b6 the exact terminology of SC10U Confort (68 seats) was SC10U-M "Confort" (M as "modernisé" ), the 72 seat version was SC10U-MR and the 78seats version SC10U-MCR (white roof too, but larger green stripe on the roof boarder) I'm going to change all the "Confort" name with this new info |
