1992+ 500SL due to the 7k RPM tachometer (300SL had a 8k RPM due to the 6-cyl revving higher). 600SL had the same tachometer as the 500SL, but this isn't a 600SL due to lack of V12 badging. Curiously, both 300SL/500SL had the same speedometer, even though the 500SL was obviously faster. Interestingly, when the SL320 replaced the 300SL, it gained the lower RPM tachometer from the 500SL/SL500 (though the redline was different). -- Last edit: 2024-08-16 14:50:45 |
