Well, could be 3.0 CSL. Without bootlid spoiler. Maybe owner hated it? ![]() |

Guess they were sold without the bodykits fitted, they were often found in the boot on them, even on Forza 4, they come stock with no bodykit, but you can fit them in the upgrade section ![]() |

Or the poverty-spec no-CSL-version. The design-bits of the sporty versions were very popular in the 70ies and 80ies. There were uncountable many thousands of BMW 315, 518, pimped as "M"'s. Seriously, still in the 90ies I've seen semi-original "M"-decals, offered in a superstore between baby-napkins and dosser-beer. |

If yes, its owner did it perfectly. Correct 'early' alloys, stickers, bonnet fins, front spoiler, everything fits. Even the left wiper has air baffle plate, CSL/CSiL feature only. And many more thousands fake-M E30s. I had 3/89 316i with some previous owner's 'M-wanabe' package. ![]() -- Last edit: 2015-08-22 18:43:55 |

So, it's 3.0 CSL, not yet CSiL, with 90 % sure. |

camera pan shot gave impression of "the real thing", more than blurry stills, so would agree with 130rapid who would go that far in making a replica only leaving main atraction rear spoiler ? -- Last edit: 2015-08-26 12:52:06 |

This car is 100% CSL, no need for a boot spoiler either. A street CSL rear spoiler even if present (not always the case) was very subtle actually, way more subtle than say a later "M" spoiler (think M E12's), people here were probably talking about the massive fibreglass "Batmobile" spoiler used in race versions.
