Never seen one of these as ambulance before - coat-of-arms on driver door, and signwriting might read St John's Ambulance. Rear doors might have disabled access steps. |

The J4 never looked to have either an official Austin/Morris/BMC ambulance version or as a recognised conversion, from any sources I can find. Perhaps a high roofed minibus type ambulance for sitting cases or patient transport, although I cannot find a minibus version, there was a high roofed conversion. The side window spacing is the same as a few GPO Morris J4 Area Planning Vans but not the j4 camper vans I can find. -- Last edit: 2019-06-05 10:46:33 |
