Thus, the ALM-45 was used not only to rescue people, but also directly for firefighting. Water could be supplied by a pump either to a monitor nozzle or to a hose line that was not connected to the ladder. Surprisingly, by the time the ALM-45 was created in the USSR, buildings of suitable height (more than 8 floors) were rare. Therefore, the 32-meter version of the ladder became more popular. It was installed on the same chassis. Nevertheless, the ALM-45 can rightfully be considered a significant success of the Soviet design school.
