Please change BMW in EMW(Eisenacher Motoren Werke) PS Virtually that car descends by prewar BMWs,but had another Brand in East Germany(due at fact that many German motor Make's plants rest into Eastern Block of Germany and so were nationalized all in postwar period;following in this way,BMW plants becomes EMW,Phanomen becomes Robur,DKW becomes IFA...All Brands incorporated in a sort of holding called VEB IFA-Kombinat,survived still Berlin Wall's falldown,1989) -- Last edit: 2007-01-24 18:47:07 |

At the beginning they were produced for a while as BMW (since 1949), the name was changed to EMW later. The EMW label was similar to this one of BMW, but had different colors http://www.polizeiautos.de/show_one.php?id=511 |
