2001-2003 amber side repeater (used on ultrarich 2002 1.6 16V Initiale even). |

...Might have been 2002 MY? I've started noticing a pattern in new French cars: they're always announced and commence production (not yet on sale to the public) in the late winter or spring, the press gets to test them first in the late spring or early summer, then the brochures and general availability follow in midsummer. -- Last edit: 2024-12-22 17:43:30 |

1.2 16V by "16V" badge. Honestly this time I don't agree, here first price list was in May and since May/June they were nearly all facelifts, I believe in France it was introduced in April ![]() |

But the phase I RS Limited was still introduced in January 2001 ![]() -- Last edit: 2024-12-22 22:51:48 |

I don't think, at least for cars that don't use MY in the VIN, that necessarily there has to be a single model/generation for each year? I believe in this case we could consider both IIa and IIb as 2001 ![]() |

There is a similar issue with the Ford Focus MkII: facelift is 2008, but there are several pre-facelift ones listed as 2008 by the same decoder who states that the model years for the pre-facelift model are 2005-07 ![]() |
