There was a misconception on the board that 1978 had black bezels while 1979 had chrome. 1978 Custom = circular headlamps & black bezels standard without an optional chrome bezel. 1979 Custom = square headlamps & black bezels except Exlplorer package which had square headlamps. 1978 & 1979 Ranger/Ranger XLT have black bezels standard with optional chrome bezels. 1978-1979 Ranger Lariat had chrome bezels standard.
