UK intro was Sept 82 as SJ410, hard and soft top versions. No info on UK use of Samurai name - maybe only a later special edition??

The X90 was the replacement of the Samurai here in NA, but it only lasted for two years

for me X90 was a different thing but yes, we could consider it as a replacement. for me Sidekick was the real successor of the Samurai, even if they shared the same showroom, kind of classic and modern thing...

indeed, but Suzuki said that the X90 was the Samurais replacement when it came out in 1996, and the X90 was just a Sidekick with a sporty body, sadly had Consumer reports not hurt Suzuki's image so much we would have gotten the Jimny here in 1998 too, but the damage was already done

yeah, seen that way...X90 and Sidekick shared everything but the body.... wish we could had the Jimny too, looks like a cute little thing. maybe costs for adaptation to NA regulations played a part in the fact that we didn't got it ( and the X90's commercial failure compared to the Sidekick )
