zodiac ◊ 2015-01-20 12:58	As far as I know, Mercedes never made any Convertibles on the W 108 chassis. Instead this is of W 111/W 112 origin (which in fact also the W 108/W 109 series is, I.e. many spare parts are similar). As it doesn't have a chrome side strip one should be able to exclude the W 112 models, and as it does have the hub caps introduced in 1968 one might argue this models is made 1968 or later. Based on the information available and when concerning Cabriolets/Covertibles I believe this is one of two possible models http://wiki.mercedes-benz-classic.com/index.php/Kategorie:W110/W111/W112 : - 1969-71 Mercedes 280 SE Cabriolet/Convertible [W 111.025] or - 1970-71 Mercedes 280 SE 3.5 Cabriolet/Convertible [W 111.027].
