There couldn't have been many makes of tandems in Germany in 1931. |

Why? It was becoming used in UK in the 20s as a cheap way of getting a longer load bed. Many of the lighter trucks were 6x2 and not tandem drive, also, there was a big fashion at the time for three axle double deck buses, particularly in UK, as the Construction and Use regulations restricted the length of two axle buses. Some of the Berlin double deck buses had three axles also. |
