Humber Snipe. Most probably a post-war 1945-48 dressed-up for filming |

It's a Pullman - longer than the Snipe. Post war example - has the extended boot. Flashing indicators have been painted over to disguise them it seems. Headlamp blinds don't look right. Later in the movie this poor car is treated to a dramatic slide which can't have done the thing much good at all. This could be the same example as in The Love Ban going on similar positioning of the flashers. This has the impression of a somewhat battered example which is in keeping with the wartime setting of the movie. Update - this car was, indeed as battered as it appears to be. At the time the ash frame had reportedly been largely removed and the remaining body was somewhat floppy. It has apparently long been scrapped unhappily. -- Last edit: 2026-05-10 18:09:51 |
