Looks like a 1984 Mazda 323 to me. My Aunt of sainted memory used to have one, she drove everywhere in 3 rd gear and controlled the speed by slipping the clutch. I think I put three driven plates and covers in it over about 20 k miles. When we finally persuaded her to get an automatic car she gave the Mazda to my daughter who subsequently traded it in on a new Peugeot 306 Meridian, which was the worst, most unreliable heap of junk I have ever seen. |

My grandfather drove everywhere in fourth gear, he didn't even look at the road but at all the houses that were built. He got his driving license without passing any test, that was the rule in Belgium in the '60s. (and there's still many of those drivers left) |
