1924-25 Pennant, built by the Barley Motor Car Co. of Kalamazoo, MI and Streator, IL. A factory taxicab, built to compete with Checker and Yellow Cab. Though a few details are a bit off (fender and radiator shell) but I think that's the angle. Could be. The hood ornament on the Pennant looks like a Boyce Motometer or similar. They were a popular accessory that had gauges mounted in them to monitor radiator temperature and warn of overheating back before such gauges were common in the dashboard. |

Definitely a specially-made taxi in any case. I think it might be an Elcar. |
