Further to the mystery why some Austin J4 vans were missing their grille bars; grille bars on the Austin versions only seen currently from September 1960 to about mid-1965 (confirmed by an Austin press photograph showing a C-reg van). Its probable they were no longer fitted after mid-1965. So later j4 vans and pickups had only the badges to differentiate between Austin and Morris.
