1959 Cadillac "Eldorado Biarritz" (99.5% sure). The seat pattern is the giveaway, although the color does not appear to be one of the original, solid, single colors offered, i.e. white, black, gray, blue, green, bronze and red. Two-tone contrating hues also were available but I've never seen bronze - that appears to be the seat back color - matched or paired with another color such as white. |

This car is certainly NOT an Eldorado Biarritz and I doubt it is evan a true convertible. Evidence of this is the upper windshield frame which should be stainless steel is painted and has no visors or latches. Also the rear seat should have a speaker in the middle which isn't there. The Eldorado has a hardbppt cover over the lowered to frame, my opinion is that the top frame is non-existent on this 'top chop'! |

- also just noticed that the front seat backs are too wide for a convertible as they (and the Coupe de Ville hardtop) have a centre armrest which sits lower than the tops of the seat. My view is that this car is a chopped roof 59 series 62 coupe. |

I have to revise my initial judgment and agree with "Battersea Boys". Indeed, closer inspection suggests a cut-down coupe, although the customizer appears to have made an attempt to replicate the "Eldorado" seat design. The "Series 62" convertible, "Series 62" coupe and "Coupe de Ville" all feauture piped upholstery over the back of the front seat ...that's what got me thinking of the "Eldorado" in the first place. |
