It has a Smokey and the Bandit II paint scheme.

You were right it is a 1980 cause it's the same truck as Smokey and the Bandit II so pleas put the year 1980 up there

Snowmans truck, well in outtakes of Bandit II, Burt tells elephant wranglers "pick it up, if I was Clint Eastwood you won't tell her pick it up youd say PICK CLINT UP!" So imo both sequels of Bandit and this movie came out same year one of the other is going to mention the other in some way.

Not sure why the year of this truck has been switched to a 1977 considering it's the same truck from Smokey and the Bandit II and that truck has been verified to be a 1980, buy the guy that use to own the Rubber Duck Mack from Convoy, which is who owns it now, it's now a grain truck, here are the best picture's I can show of it for now though, something's happening in the future, even though I have better picture's of it

... which was said by 4x4 23, someone who was telling fibs and was only making surrealistic guesses in each comment he wrote...
The Genaral was unveiled in 1977, so unless a real proof of a newer model year, this sounds a good basis for this truck...

This is one of the two 1980 GMC Generals that was used to film Smokey and the Bandit II that was one of three trucks to have the General Quarters Prototype Sleeper on it

This truck does appear on the March of 1979 Overdrive Magazine Cover

Unfortunately the current where abouts on this truck are unknown today as this isn't the truck that is currently the grain truck in Missouri right now as the surviving truck from Smokey and the Bandit II that is currently a grain truck in Missouri right now has a third fuel tank underneath the passenger side door while truck had a second battery box underneath the passenger side door

The time this truck was seen was from when someone had got a picture of it back in 1991 and has it hasn't been seen since than

So, Yes, The truck should be listed as a 1980 GMC General
