Carroll Shelby had a second twin-Paxton supercharged 427 Cobra, just like his own personal car, prepared specifically for Bill Cosby but the comedian didn't keep it very long. The car inspired Cosby's very funny album "200 mph" which can be found on YouTube (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-JQksYxgM0). "Wait'll those Chevy kids see them PIPES...!!!" |

... or CSX3303?? If this article is fully accurate, CSX3015 was Shelby's own Cobra 427 Super Snake, with CSX3303 being a replica built for Bill Cosby. "There were only 23 AC Cobra 427 competition roadsters produced, but one was chosen to become the “Cobra to End All Cobras,” being known as CSX3015, the first Super Snake. ..... as a 427 Cobra Semi-Competition (SC), it was a street-legal racer, using mufflers, a windshield, and bumpers to pass the requisite testing for road use, but the rear end, brakes, and headers were left unchanged..... the two hulking Paxton Superchargers on an experimental Edelbrock intake, becoming known as the TPS. Shelby made another Super Snake with this engine as CSX3303. Shelby kept the former for himself and the latter went to a close friend, Bill Cosby." |

Yes, it's true that Cosby owned CSX3303, but he had already sold it by the time this episode was filmed so the studio borrowed Shelby's personal car. |
