Looks like a body designed by Zagato. Maybe a Giulietta SZ, but the typical Alfa grille isn't there. Or an Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato, but I don't know if they took part in rallies. |

Yes, I believe Zagato is definately the body maker (..But also don't think it's Aston or Alfa.! ) as Exiv96 said, I hasn't got the Alfa grill and the shape doesn't seem right for the Aston! |

It's an Alfa Romeo Giulietta SZ from which the front grid has been removed. No doubt. http://www.cuoresportivo.pl/oldtimers/?pao=GSZ.jpg |

But grille shape,if removed, should be at least shown 3 holes(one for the side grilles, one for the Alfa's shield at centre)that I don't seen here I believe was a 1963 Lancia Flaminia Sport 3C GTZ Zagato or a smaller 1961-1962 Lancia Appia GTE Zagato |

Bodies of these 2 Lancias are quite different. The Giulietta SZ has indeed a front grille in 3 parts. If you look at the picture posted, you will see some kind of sticker or extra body part protecting the highest central part of the grille. The opening in the front panel has possibly been enlarged as well. And the little lights, normally at the left and right edges of the original grille, are anyway present on the car from the picture (lights are on). I keep saying it's an Alfa SZ. To be confirmed/commented by peers. |

It is an Alfa SZ, no doubt. A few frames later, you can actually tell it has the horizontal crease on the running along the side. The front looks like it has been modified; the shield looks cut at the bottom and the side grills removed. I've seen cars modified in similar fashion (car #36 at Le Mans 1963 had a similar front, even though it was a Coda Tronca variant). The only question now is : where was this movie shot and which race was it? |
