That looks like the IHC logo. It looks too new to be a regular Int', so my guess is Case-IH.

The headlights don't look right. Maybe a different model from the same era?

Ah! There's a sort of "headgear" which gives the impression that the hood is a different shape.

This Case IH 844 XL plus is our yard tractor at Kendal and is a bit of a rarity, being the only one we sold new back in April 1994. Back then it's distinctive drop nose design and front linkage was way ahead of it's time, maybe too futuristic for some?
List price in 1994 was £33,870 + VAT with an extra £3,125 if you wanted front PTO adding.
The old girl has given us cracking service in her semi retirement since she was traded back in to us a good number of years ago.
It has been mentioned numerous times over the years that we should really get her restored, but it is something that we never have time to get round to, yet.

In the Plus series, the 845 and 856 received more power, and the diameter of the 856's clutch changed from 295 millimeters to 310 millimeters. In 1987, a slant-nose 845 was also introduced, which was sold very little in Finland. In 1989, production moved to England. In 1992, a 94-horsepower Super Plus version of the 845 was introduced. The last 845s and 856s were completed in the summer of 1996. The 844/845 was produced for a total of 22 years.

A little while ago we featured a 'high visibility' Case-IH 844 Plus, a model that was developed and produced at the Doncaster factory, following the earlier success of a conversion carried out by a dealer on the European mainland.
The 'drop nose' 844 was available in the UK, but not the 845 version pictured here on the company's stand at the 1993 SIMA Show. The question therefore being, were many of the 845 high-vis versions produced? Any sightings of them on the Continent?

So, I suppose it can be called an 844 XL, even though it is different.
