It appears to be a 1998 model due to the chrome strip on the bumper. The grille would just be a replacement. |

Used by the various NYPD squads including the NYPD Auxiliary Police. The NYPD Auxiliary Police is a volunteer reserve division, they are tasked to do minor duties from traffic duties to assisting the actual officers. -- Last edit: 2015-12-18 05:01:39 |

Do the Auxiliary officers have a different colored uniform shirt than the actual officers? |

Off the top of my head, no. The only regular division of the NYPD that has different uniforms is the School Safety division, which wears a modified version of the pre 1995-1996 patrol uniform. |

The Auxiliary officers wear the same as the actual officers but the Auxiliary officers' uniforms have a patch on each shoulder above the NYPD logo with word "Auxiliary" on each patch. And most of the Auxiliary officers are unharmed and only armed with a baton and a canister of pepper spray. -- Last edit: 2015-12-28 10:09:13 |
