Pretty sure it's a '50, and a 4dr.
primary photo taken @ 1:36 but also at 1:13 and 9:00. Looks like a 4dr there.

Bumper says '48-'50 for sure.
Hard to make out, but there's the barest hint of the Hudson triangle centered in the grille, which is a 1950 hallmark.

I believe the triangle would be more prominent than that. It overlays the horizontal bars in 1950.
In addition, on all 1950's except for the Pacemaker, there was a double streak on the side of the car rather than the '48/'49 single streak.

Think it's a '48/'49 with the outside chance it's a '50 Pacemaker.
And since I see no fender top ornamemts, I would list as a Super.

Here's a better picture, but may not be the same car.
It's from episode 1.08.
This looks like a '49 to me.

That last thumbnail is definitely of a '48/'49 and appears to have Commodore style taillamps and trunk lid lift, but I can't tell if it's the same car as the one in the subject photo.
Thanks for that extra pix.

Still think it's a '50 Hudson, owing to the triangle.
Less than 2 seconds to look, but in real time it's just barely visible.
The vertical chrome centerpiece from '48-'49 grilles isn't.
Revisited the episode from 2 different servers.
Here's a still from the 2nd server, admit it's no clearer than the 1st.

and here's another shot at 1:13, same car, does this help?

...the Hudson that appears later at 9:00 - 9:09 is a different car w/lighter paint & a visor.

Love seeing so many vintage makes in the series: Studebaker, Hudson, DeSoto, Packard, Nash, Kaiser, LaSalle.
And the imports: Ford Prefect, MG, Porsche, Simca.
Would love to find an Edsel. Or a Tucker, Muntz Jet, Kaiser Darrin or Nash Healey.

You'll still have a tough time getting past the fact the car appears to have only one streak on the side.

Again, all 1950 Hudsons (except the Pacemaker) had the lower chrome streak, ending beind the front wheel rather than over it.
(The upper line in '50 was just a body crease with no chrome.)

The subject car certainly appears to have no lowered chrome streak.
But as I conceded, there IS the possibility of it being a '50 Pacemaker as that one model retained the '48/'49 side trim style.
Since we cannot say for certain, our normal policy is to list first possible year, which is 1948.

Ok, I guess the issue will have to rest there. Until we get a sharper picture that clearly shows the grille w/ either the vertical chrome centerpiece ('48/'49) or Hudson triangle ('50).

Meanwhile, I'm keeping an eye out for your namesake car, a '57 Studebaker Commander.
Getting closer. Added a '56 President thumbnail in the comments section last night, did you see it?
