With -nowadays high priced- Talbot-mirrors on the wings. The maker of this automotive stuff, Talbot in West-Berlin, had back in pre-war times the same roots as the French car brand Talbot, as I read somewhere a time ago. |

Clément-Talbot, North Kensington, London W10 1903-38 was English, not French. It was backed by the Earl of Shrewsbury and Talbot, a neighbour of mine, and Adolph Clément, who collaborated in the import of Clément’s cars into Britain. In 1919 it was taken over by the Societé Alexander Darracq, of Paris, which, according to Georgano’s, was also British owned. |
