Seems the Australian nonemclature was European alike - 1300/1400/1600 engine size and trim level. For example '1300 DL'. |

This is correct. Subaru model names in Australia were "1400" from 1973-1975, then "1600" from 1976-1978. |

1972-1981 (1)(2)/first Subaru Leone Sedan. Maybe not 4WD, as it seems not to have the "4 wheel drive" badge on the trunk ? Unless I am mistaken, it was known in France as Subaru Leone {engine size}. But we didn't see a bunch of them. I don't know for the name and the sales in other European countries. (1) The coupé was released on October 1971, the sedan on April 1972.
