I guess it is an Italian car with the white flasher. Isn't Taunus instead of Cortina? and German origin |

None Cortina Mk III sold in Italy(of that car Ford Italiana--Importer--imports only Taunuses no Cortinas) By grille seems a 1600 XL or GXL trim(1970-1973,former TC unified body style series shown pointed-nose grille shape--recalls that of 1970 US-made Ford 500 Custom) |

It seems to be a GXL-trim car. |

Sorry sixcyl, but there were no GXL Ghia versions. The Ghia-trim replaced the GXL when the 1976 Taunus TC2 was introduced ![]() |

Cortina GXLs (and IIRC GTs) of this vintage had four round headlights, not two round and two oblong like this. Also the Knudsen-nase of the Cortina was broader, and the roofline slightly different. |

I won't contradict you Rpcm, ... but I thought this on the C-pillar was the Ghia badge ![]() ![]() |

Without doubt, it's a GXL badge. |
