The whole scene looks animated/early CGI. The car does not look real.

animated, I think. AFAIK there was no CGI in 1980.

animated it is. It looks more like some kind of early CGI, though, whatever its 1980 equivalent was.

these are models, not CGI..they were made for the film, one turned up on e bay....the yellow taxi is about 12 ins long.

It's a 1973-1977 A-Body sedan with 1969 full sizer tai lights. I'd say 1973-1977 Pontiac Lemans
