Those are my trailers. They are a matching pair of 1946 Fruehaufs, model FFA-222, just 13 serial numbers apart. I also have a 1946 GMC 900-series tractor to pull them, which was under restoration at the time. I was trying to finish it in time for this film, but didn't make it. The Transportation Department for the film ended up using this Mack tractor instead. I have additional information posted under the screen shot of the red GMC tractor passing on the highway. |
