Well, the intake slots (called "snow traps") had been deletet in 1973. To indicate whether a Silver Shadow is a mark 1 or mark 2 model is relatively simple:

-Just check whether the car has black plastik bumpers (which were standard fo the US market up from the early 1970's but standard for all other markets not earlier then up from 1977 with the introduction of the Shadow II) and check whether the door mirrors are of a square type. If square, she is a mark II, if the door mirror is of round design she is a mark I however the bumpers are black (perhapd a 1974 car which went to the USA) or of crometype. The dashboard design is different too, but we are not able to see that here.
