Are sure it is Special and not Especial? (and de Luxe for vinyl roof) |

As far as I can remember the one I saw in Malaga a few years ago was badged Special like the french 1100:s are. A quick search didn´t result in any readable badges, but an article in spanish about a 1200 Special: http://www.foro.pieldetoro.net/web/pruebas/ver.php?ID=1065 About De Luxe I don´t know, there seems to have been versions of the Special. But I believe they all had the vinyl roof. |

Techo Vinilo (vinil roof) were avaialble on all model, but some have them non optional. I found many site talking Especial http://www.ajovalo.net/Historia/Chrysler_Espana.htm This car can also be a 1978+ GLS http://www.clubanuncios.com/files/26900.jpg Unfortunaltely, Chrysler España is not here anymore to give us details... |

Muy bien! So Barreiros kept the original french designation, but people tend to say it in spanish (especial), which is more natural. Thank you for research! The one you find had all chrome grille, I know that they opted for Black and chrome later, but the one in the film seems to be without grille. Enough said, we must stay with Special |
