Ingo ◊ 2013-10-04 23:00	1978+ Due the DDR-plates one of the clunkers, we Wessis had cheatened the Ossis (or Zonis) after the introducin of the D-Mark in the DDR at the 1.July 1990 They became so mad for Western cars, that they have paid incredible prices for wrecks, which would have been crushed over here. Well, prices for used cars were extremely high in the DDR, due the tight supply and the great demand. I remember the situation in Summer 1990 - every, absolutely every car-dealer, either for used or for new cars, was empty, totally empty. So I was very lucky, that at the 19.July 1990 I could purchase my first own car (but from private hand)
