how do you its a 540? |

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a 530i with those wheels. |

I don't like the idea of guessing engine sizes on BMWs and Mercs, if the engine isn't known for sure (the badge on the boot lid isn't visible) then it should just be listed as BMW 5. -- Last edit: 2008-05-05 01:07:10 |

I agree. People don't just guess on BMW's and Mercs either |

The 540i was a pretty expensive car (over £40K) and for all we know this could merely be a 520i. And it feels like people are guessing the engine sizes of Mercs and BMWs all the time on this site. Look at this, how on Earth could you tell this is a 740iL? /vehicle_29618-BMW-740iL-E32-1993.html -- Last edit: 2008-05-05 01:05:38 |

I know what you mean. There's a lot of guesses on my end too. You should change them so that it will look correct. I'm sure antp won't mind, and with the amount of visitors we have, we have a certain "image" to protect, I suppose you could say. |

The problem is some admins seem to be guessing when they name cars. |

Those wheels were used on different 5-Series models so the specific model could be any within that range. They are nonspecific wheels, unlike these: /vehicle_120591-BMW-525i-E39-2003.html |

Why don't you bring this up in the forums then, on the administrator section? We could better discuss the problem there. |

525i due to 15" wheels (same ones used on 1997-2000 528i). All other grades came with 16". |
