Is it filmed in the USA? |

Where filmed, Mexico? It has American-sized plates, but the R4 was never officially sold in the USA. |

Since neither the Renault nor the Volkswagen next to it has a real license plate, I suspect that the scene was not filmed in Mexico. |

Is the car missing its taillights? |

Where else then? There was no R4 in the USA, the VW has no US-spec parts and the car, which crashes into the Renault, was not sold in Europe. Plus the fact, that this street is too wide for any European country and has American-spec features: wirings and traffic-lights hanging overhead. -- Last edit: 2013-09-14 15:55:59 |

I doubt it, the scenery in the other pics doesn't remind me of any particular city in Mexico (With the possible exception of Mexicali, Baja California, but even that isn't a particularly good match.), And all of the foreign cars in the other pics appear to be us-spec (BTW, there's a Mitsubishi Cordia listed, were those even sold in mexico?). |

The fact, that we have a Renault 4 here, clearly excludes any US location. Plus the VW T1 and T2b and the fact, that the R4 appeared in Mexico, it confirms a Mexican location. Maybe only for this scene but Mesico without any doubt. |

(five years later) This might answer a few questions: /vehicle_708353-Renault-4.html This scene was taken from the 1986 movie "Miracles", which partly takes place in Mexico. So we can confirm this single shot was filmed in Mexico. -- Last edit: 2018-04-02 22:23:53 |
