For the record, this is NOT a made for movie. This is the famous (at least for me) Moon Automotive 'Moonliner', which was built by Jocko Johnson and was originally powered by an Allison V-12 but later changed to a Big Block Chevy. It was only used for exhibition runs and car shows and has now been restored by Mooneyes USA Inc. The late Dean Moon, who left us in 1987 was and Jocko is a close friend of mine and I do recognize a car that I once drove. Robert 'Jocko' Johnson is a genius along the lines of Art Arfons when it comes to building LSR cars. He works mostly single-handedly in his workshop comprised of four old school buses out in the Mojave Desert. That, my friends, is the true spirit of hot rodding! -- Last edit: 2006-11-10 14:47:25 |

From what I remember don't they disguise KITT as this car to smuggle him in somewhere and then he melts this body off and emerges from underneath a pile of dripping red plastic?  |

yeah and it's pretty comical when you see both cars side by side and realize that KITT is taller so there is no way they could make kitt look like that thing and have the dimensions right. |
