In theory an early plexiglass front but it looks wrong - compare sidelights and grille shape with eg /vehicle_508980-Ferrari-365-GTB-4.html and general proportions look too short and stumpy. Either a nasty cobblework or a shitty replica (phrases copyrighted from a certain German imcdbist).

Indeed, this car looks bizarre, I had a hard time finding a good match.

Compared to the one in the Wikipedia it looks right again.

It is different. Check the lower part of the headlights and sidelights closely in connection with the bumper.

dsl wrote or a shitty replica

 were such replicas already existing back then, in the early 70ies? Were there 365 GTB/4-replicas at all? If yes, made where and when by what manufacturer/cobbler? :??:

Agree replica in 1972 unlikely, but things wrong with this one (= shitty cobblework??):
- black trim/paint in side moulding
- front sidelights moved to separate feature under headlights
- indicators extended to much larger size
- different clearer headlight cover
- bigger grille opening.
I don't know if there was an early format (eg 68-69) US front which differed from normal early Europe format (/vehicle_7495-Ferrari-365-GTB-4-1970.html shows 1970+ US format when Europe got the revised retractable lights eg /vehicle_20028-Ferrari-365-GTB-4-1972.html ) so early US is a - unconfirmed - possibility. Or maybe someone did a special fixed light conversion of a 1970+ retractable light car??

The other thing which confused me is the door window top corner, which looks too square and out of sync with the roof curve, but that might be an unfortunate viewing angle rather than a real effect.
