Long segment in "Russia", but as usual it's England. At least 2 cars involved, both yellow and LHD - one has white headlights, the other yellow headlights. Starts with Sandbagger 2 flying in to a local "Russian" airport and walking down a line of hire cars - mainly Polskis (which are LHD), but also 2 RHD Moskvitches (separate page) - to his yellow Polski rentacar.

.... drives off through the countryside ....
- as main - white headlights
[Image: 37-12polskidyellowlights.jpg] - yellow headlights
[Image: 37-12polskide.jpg] - white headlights
..... goes through a checkpoint for the first time ...
.... collects someone, and then returns through the checkpoint for a second time when both the white and yellow headlight cars are seen in the same shot:

Also, when he collects the Polski at the airport, it has no windscreen (so not the luxury version :p ???)

which is a goof but becomes apparent why later

with a microphone also visible.

So these are non-UK LHD cars in England - one with French lights and the other with "other Europe" spec. Were names the same across UK and Europe?

Looks as if the windscreen might be missing in the main picture, since there's a distinct lack of reflections. :)

Fall 1977+ front badge(s), pre-mid 1978 rear badge -1978.
IMO it can be one car, yellow headlights might be tricky, sometiems they can look like yellow sometiems like white ones. I remember one 125p with yellow lights and they behaved this way. The facelifted French 125p was called 125px, but type of lights is IMO not enough to say it is the one.

So this was filmed in Britain, very interesting, what the Tarpan 233/F233 is doing there? Orange car behind the 125p:

Edit: Oh I see it is already listed.

Just noticed it before this comment. :) Strange choice of cars for the Soviet Union setting, especially that it wasn't hard to get Lada in UK.

Sure, but I suppose that a left hand drive 125p was preferable to a right hand drive Lada.

That's can be true. This way the red 125p in other ep. possibly also was LHD and not mirrored.

With later eps in S2 and S3, they get better at sourcing LHD cars for UK filming without having to flip pictures (for instance S3 ep4 in "Brussels" is full of various LHD cars, but there are enough background RHD in carparks etc to show it's still England). I've got a vague memory that UK Ladas, Polskis, Moskvitches etc were shipped to Hull and then modified for UK (some window-dressing like vinyl roof, new radios, cigarette lighters, headrests) but also things like tyres made of genuine rubber instead of cardboard, upgraded brakes etc. If this Hull operation also handled upgrades to rest of EU, it might explain the fleet of LHD Polskis in this ep and the various differences. The airport car park scene has 4 LHD Polskis altogether, which must have been sourced as a batch. And Hull is close to the Leeds base of Yorkshire Television, the series producers.

I doubt such one "center" responsible for the 125ps customization for many markets existed abroad (in fact I'm in 99,9% sure it didn't). Some minor modifications were done by the local importers (in various countries) on thier own. It is also well known, that the most important changes for the foreign markets were done in/by the FSO.
