All pictures now upgraded. Actually 2 fire engines but the second one only really visible in one thumb where front cab side shown with coat of arms; looks as if same type as main. ERH 676Y = DENNIS ELITE MS LN 1516 (whatever that means) and is Hull plate. Apparently a water tender sold off by Humberside Fire & Rescue Service in 2001. DVLA details are: Date of Liability 01 07 2001 (= sell-off date??) ERH 676Y is a Dennis SS (Dennis Chassis and bodywork) which was in service with Humberside Fire Brigade The second fire engine is a Dennis RS (almost the same as the SS but with no tilt cab) They were both in service at Hull West fire station, Calvert Lane in Hull I was on duty the night of the filming, we went to stand by at the station to cover them while they were enjoying their 15 seconds of fame. The filming took place in west Hull's station area, probably off Hessle Road which was where most of the fishing families lived.. |
