I probably wouldn't have been able to guess this in a million years if I hadn't previously researched them, but the firewall appears to be a prewar Citroen! Note the distinctive sunshade: https://live.staticflickr.com/4133/4996157452_db12571aa6_b.jpg Renault trucks of this era all appear to have still been RHD, and none of the ones I could find with the classic front end had cowl vents (they used the older dual fuel fillers and also took a while to catch on to the new rhombus logo) or such pronounced trim. I'd say we have better luck identifying the Citroen which this evidently is than a rush of Renaults (G.R.R. Martin's next book) by a single piece of sheet metal. B15 is excluded by the trim on the doors, and only the C4 was available as a truck (the C6 was a luxury car). Stencil on the sunshade came in 1930, and by the rear wheels it seems heavy enough for the larger version, which makes it a AC4i 1000. -- Last edit: 2024-01-17 21:31:05 |
