Bajaj tricycle-taxi,based on old Piaggio Ape 125-150 of '50s end(note fender-mounted headlamp);small taxis like that are a common sight also in Nepal,Sri Lanka and Indonesia;an Indian-registered one was also star into 1983 007 movie"Octopussy"(where for have road free,runs accelerating with front wheel lifted-up--probably that of 007 movie had tuned engine);with slightly modifications(now rounded headlamp fitted under windscreen)was built still today(in India,after Hindustan Ambassador and PAL Padmini 1100 D,was the more diffused type of taxi of the Country). |
