This is a Ford GPW. The front crossmember can be seen in this pic. In the movie there is a scene out side a church showing the rear of the vehicle. The script "FORD" is visible on the left rear panel under the fuel can. Many manufacturers placed their logos on military equipment initially (Ford, Willys, Dodge, GMC...) but this marketing practice was discontinued by mid-1942. |
