Ehhh... When is 1963, yes, but it was introduced for MY1964..... Wasn't it? |

Sorry, the German Wiki-article says only "1963", no comment, if model-year or calendar-year. You better check the fan-pages for discovering the details. |

@ingo: That, my friend, is one major problem with Wikipedia.... No rules, no standards. I prefer to use Wikipedia when no other info is available. Try the English version, BTW, I know you will understand. The window was the same size, it seems, August 1963-May 1979 Some clues to the years of the bigger window: Link to "www.megabug.co.uk" Link to "www.ebay.ca" http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=170038 Among others. -- Last edit: 2012-11-08 20:31:59 |

Rear side panels, 'Kombi' in US ? |

The windows look too small... I'd rather say it seems to be a converted Panel model. |

Sounds plausable, rpcm ![]() Let's list this as 1963 or later Volkswagen Panel Van pending upon dissent. |

The bigger rear window identifies it as 1964MY + and period sales brochures call it Panel or Panel Delivery Truck. ![]() |
