It's not ZIS-8. this is a foreign-made bus. Perhaps a trophy from Finland or the Baltic Republics. |

From what I can tell, at least in Estonia most if not all of the buses taken to Leningrad were modern bulldog constructions from the 30s. So rather a former Latvian/Lithuanian/Finnish bus. Might even be from Eastern Poland (Western Belarus/Galicia) or Bessarabia. Of course it could also be one of the Western brands used in Leningrad in the 20s (Leyland, Mannesmann-Mulag) refitted with a more contemporary body in the thirties. -- Last edit: 2026-07-30 10:17:25 |
