Sure about Michelin? For me the profile looks Uniroyal-ish. The foglights are from Hella and the wannabe-NL-plate is a terrible fake. |

Well, the Z-style profile in the middle is not visible. This was a pure Michelin-element. And back then their design was symmetric. ![]() |

Not only inadaquate, even dangerous for the car. In some instruction manuals back then it was recommended, not to mount fog- or flashlights on top of the bumper in front of the grille, because then the cooler didn't get enough fresh air and the engine can be overheated. |

Auxillary lights for every quad-headlighted BMW (to 1986) have one source -> dip lights, painfully insufficient for Beemer's performance. The elipsoidal dip lights were 'bright revolution', nicely cheating with optic rules (among other things, because magnifying glass effect). ![]() |
